James was a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Michigan. James lost the general election on November 6, 2018, after advancing from the primary on August 7, 2018.

Biography

James graduated from West Point and spent eight years in the Army as a Ranger-qualified aviation officer, serving with distinction in Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his military service, James grew his family business from $35 million in revenue to $137 million and created 100 jobs in the United States. He earned an MBA from the University of Michigan.[1]
